Genei Bougher, MSN, APRN, CCRC

Genei Bougher, APRN is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator with more than 30 years of nursing experience. Genei began her career after receiving her BSN from Jacksonville University in 1991, caring for patients in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Oncology, and Pediatric ICU at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. After obtaining her MSN from the University of Florida in 1996, Genei joined Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, working with children in the Neonatal ICU and Pediatric unit. While continuing to see patients at Ascension, Genei joined Child Neurology Center of Northwest Florida that same year, focusing on specialized care to pediatric patients with a variety of neurological disorders. Genei then co-founded Northwest Florida Clinical Research Group in 2007, where she is a sub-investigator for clinical trials focused on the areas of epilepsy, migraines, muscular dystrophy, movement disorders, and most recently, COVID-19. Genei and her husband reside in Gulf Breeze, Florida where she has been an active member of the community.  Genei continues to promote the field of clinical research by volunteering as a member of the Ascension Sacred Heart Institutional Review Board.
